SHORTLY AFTER ITS INCEPTION IN 1996, DIGITAL BASE BEGAN DEVELOPING VIDEO AND AUDIO DEPARTMENTS TO PROVIDE PRODUCTION SERVICES TO LOCAL AND REGIONAL ADVERTISING AGENCIES, AS WELL AS THE UP-AND-COMING TELEPHONY INDUSTRY, WHERE IT WOULD SERVICE CLIENTS LIKE AT&T, DIALOGIC, BRITE VOICE, PHONE BASE AND GAME PRO MAGAZINE. MIKE GIBSON, AN ACCOMPLISHED PHOTOGRAPHER, VIDEOGRAPHER AND EDITOR, WAS BROUGHT IN TO ENSURE THE VIDEO CAPABILITIES KEPT PACE WITH THE AWARD-WINNING AUDIO SERVICES. AS DEMAND GREW, MATT WIDEMAN JOINED THE VIDEO TEAM TO ROUND OUT A POWERHOUSE VIDEO PRODUCTION UNIT.
Thanks to the rising popularity of web-enabled personal computers, digital marketing emerged as a new creative avenue. Digital Base, historically responsive to emerging tech trends, created a department dedicated to web design and interactive DVD-ROMs. Print and graphic design followed naturally after. Barry Nelson left the company in 2007, with Jordan Polk stepping in to fulfill multimedia duties. With David and Kevin heading up audio production, this rounded out a core team of producers, designers and engineers, and laid the foundation for what Digital Base would become- an undisputed leader in creative production.
At the turn of the 21st century, Digital Base built a cutting edge production facility which houses a voiceover production studio, an audio post production and mastering studio, a beautiful music production studio, two video editing bays, a massive “white room” video production studio, and various offices and common areas. This architecturally post-modern building provides a creative, interesting and inspiring environment for anyone who spends time in it. With unpredictable lines, an open floor plan and creative use of texture, materials and light, the Digital Base facility inspires nothing less than creative excellence- so much so that it is considered an honorary “silent member” of the Digital Base team because of how acutely it speaks to the cultivated company identity. With added space and technological capability, Digital Base continued to grow.
Today, the team at Digital Base creates an environment of well-rounded expertise and boasts almost a century of combined experience. We continue to maintain international prominence in the telephony industry, translating and voicing projects in over 100 languages and for clients all over the world. We’ve produced countless award-winning creative marketing campaigns, television and radio spots, motion graphics, websites, print pieces, interactive kiosks, and much more. There is no cause to slow down now, and the future holds bright possibilities for our marketing and production clientele.
